Contiki Euro Bash

Last night some of us had a great night attending the Contiki Holidays  Euro Bash at V Lounge in Yaletown, Vancouver.

We arrived to cocktails and
tasty hors d’oeuvres. Music by DJ Zu was in the air giving a Jazzy club feel.

Alice in Wonderland & The Red Queen danced around the lounge being chased by the mad hatter to stir things up and get the party started.

A cabaret show was put on by NY Jazz Company dancers.  Contiki Holidays is in the process of re-branding themselves to appeal more to their target market.  This party showcased some of that re-branding with a Burlesque theme. The photos do not quite capture just how risqué the cabaret dancers were, saucily strip down, hot ladies !

Music pumped all night, drinks were flowing, and entertainment was everywhere.  Aphrodite & Caser were even there !

To finish off the entertainment for the evening we were we were treated to a performance by Canadian singer -songwriter Keshia Chanté.  She sang about half a dozen songs, finishing off with her new single, “Set You Free.”
 Thanks for a great evening

Sun Rise SnowShoe - February 13th 2011

Grouse Mountain opened 24 hours a day
for the duration of the Vancouver 2010
Winter Olympic and for the anniversary
they did it again!
Opening Saturday February 12th at

9am, and not closing until Sunday

10pm. It was a great experience for

those few winter diehard enthusiasts

who wondered what it would be like

to snowboard down the cut as at

sunset,  Zipline over the snow at

midnight, play ice hockey at 3am or

Snowshoe for Sunrise.

David, Ronald, Carmen,

& I suited up in our

mitts, toque and

snowshoes and headed

for the top of  Dam

Mountain.

With the clouds thick overhead we were

not able to see sunrise. However, it was still

well worth the effort for an early snow shoe

in a winter wonderland!
